An opaque intelligent system can risk the business’s reputation and put individuals at risk. Business leaders have to ensure that the AI systems they are implementing are ethical, fair and explainable.

Automation is a good starting point for AI deployment. It’s the low-hanging fruit companies can use to check proof of concept and make quick gains.

But business leaders need to have a well-defined AI strategy to get the most out of their AI initiatives. They should consider how they can change their business processes around AI, leverage their structured and unstructured data and reinvent every aspect of business for the better.
